Hajj is a mega annual event in Saudi, that involves around 3 Million people gathered in one location to perform religious rituals. These people are exposed to several potential dangers like heatstroke, fatal falls, crowd surges and accidents.

The organizers were faced with a challenge to conduct the event safely by having adequate measures in place for the well being of the pilgrims.

Solution 

To achieve this, they engaged with Invixible to provide them with suitable technological solutions. These solutions included health vitals monitoring (Heart rate, body temperature), Fall detection, Location and Geo-fencing alert, Proximity/collision avoidance and People counting for crowd management.  As well as installing panic buttons in the hajj tents so that people can alert the staff in case of emergency, etc. The organizers also made use of technology to record the movement of the pilgrims and their activities and with the data, they can plan the next year’s hajj more efficiently.
