Business Need

The customer had thousands of remote facilities that needed monitoring, maintenance and surveillance of those sites that housed valuable equipment.  It was very expensive to send staff to these sites regularly for checks. Also, Energy costs were high and needed to be reduced.

Solution 

The solution is designed to reduce costs, downtime and carbon footprint and uses an IoT Gateway to monitor key equipment within the site. By using motion-triggered object detection we were able to use the existing gateway with a standard IP camera to add a sophisticated surveillance capability.
