With the increasing global temperatures due to climate change, the heat pumps are becoming even more important for these customers as their critical assets. Currently, the majority of the heat pumps are not smart resulting in higher maintenance costs. In case of downtime, the inside environment of the buildings is impacted putting health and safety at risk. The customers are looking to maintain their inside environment, while keeping the maintenance costs optimised, which is currently a major challenge.

Solution 

The solution is designed to make a standard heat pump smart by enabling it with communication and sensing capability through an industrial grade rugged IoT gateway and sensors. The data is send to the cloud where IoT applications present the value out of the data received. With ability to set rules, raise alerts, alarms and notifications, the IoT application becomes a single pane of glass for customers across all their heat pump assets. Preventative maintenance allows them to reduce maintenance costs and send alerts in advance to help mitigate downtime challenges.
